For the really weird try Hawkins Bazaar. Some gifts are bazaar indeed. At the other extreme, for sensible things try Mydigitalphotoframes who sell - well, digital photo frames.

PfM do sell presents for men, but they have lots of other things too including household, fashions and low cost handbags. They are also especially well known for travel accessories including safety and security gadgets and adapters.

Firebox, iwoot and The Gift Experience all sell 'experiences', but if you want to give this kind of gift , look at our experiences page, too, where there are lots more options. Firebox also sell tech and retro toys as well as some gadgets you can't do without. How about a mug with a built-in slot for biscuits?

I want one of those, affectionately known as iwoot, have gifts from the sensible to the kitsch, such as a retro sweet hamper. It is easy to find what you want, as the gifts are grouped by price, type and recipient. It was the most visited web site for gifts and flowers in 2007.

The Gift Experience have gifts at the sensible end of the range including quality wooden classic games and a good range of personalised baby gifts including a birth candle and money box. Their web site is well ordered, making it easy for you to choose by event (wedding, birthday etc) or by person (for him, for her, for baby, for mum, for gran ..).

Gadgetshop are probably the original sellers of gadgets, useful and otherwise. The range includes outdoor gadgets, games and techno stuff and a selection for gadget girls.

Ace is really an online department store with departments for most things from furniture through to garden, electrical, entertainment, fashion, toys and games.

And don't forget the card. You can pop into town and buy one that really isn't quite right. Better still, send a more meaningful one with Yoodoo or Greetings for about the same price. Both these companies let you design your own card or choose from their wide selection of designs that you can customise. You can also create an online reminder list with all your birthday, anniversary and other celebrations. When they have been printed for you, cards can be sent back to you for onward posting, or the company will send them direct to the person you want it to go to. With Greetings you can even make it a charity card. Choose one of their charities and they will make a donation - it does not add anything to the price. It is all very quick, too. Order early enough (12 noon for Greetings or 3pm for Yoodoo) for same day despatch by first class post.
