MandM Direct are one of the biggest online retailers of fashion and sports wear for men, women and children. They have famous name clothing and footwear at up to 75% off normal retail prices.

The winners of several ethical awards, Natural Collection sell an assortment of eco, organic and fairly traded products, including sustainable fashion for men, women and children. Their products feature in ethical awards. UK post is £4.50 unless your order totals more than £100, in which case it is free.

New Look have 590 stores in the UK and internationally but to save you the trip you can view their stock and order online. Although best known for women's fashions, they also have a great selection for men, teens and children. Standard delivery is £3.50 or you can get your order faster for an extra £1.45.

Next also sell fashions for all ages and both sexes. You can also order a Next catalogue, the Next Directory, and browse off-line too. There is much more on their web site and in the directory than in their stores. You do pay from £3.99 for home delivery but you can order online or from the directory and collect your purchase from a Next store at no cost. Marks & Spencer also have their entire range on their web site and even additional products that are available exclusively online. Their web site is particularly easy to use, giving you options to search by colour, size, product type and even to zoom in so that you can see the item really close up. Marks & Spencer only deliver to the UK. For this the standard service costs £3.95 for orders up to £30 in value, but over £30 delivery is free. You can also pay a little more to have your delivery on a specified day.

Boden are becoming renowned for top-end fashions for the whole family. They have swim fashions and a small selection of bags and accessories as well as traditional fashion products for men, women, children and babies. If you click the logo at the top of the Boden box in the column on the right, you will get a 10% discount and free delivery and returns. You will not get this if you go to their web site by typing their web address into your browser.

For printed clothing, Truffle Shuffle are renowned for their retro fashions and accessories. Character merchandise of all kinds featuring favourites from the 1980s. Delivery is £1.95, or free if your order is worth £50 or more. Shot Dead in the Head are most famous for their T-shirts with famous slogans but also sell accessories. Their delivery charges are quoted before VAT, but work out at about £1 for the first T-shirt and 75p for each additional one. Chargrilled Tshirts have Tshirts with funny, retro and offensive slogans in several styles, including long-sleeved and a very shapely women's skinny style. Their Tshirts start at £14.95 for the basic men's style, so they are cheaper than most, and they deliver free worldwide. Loud Clothing have official character and music t-shirts and don't charge for standard delivery in the UK.

White Stuff have nearly 50 shops, mostly in the UK but some in France. Their own branded clothing is available through other stockists as well. They sell urban and outdoor clothing for men and women, with a selection of accessories including clothing such as gloves, scarves and socks, and fashion jewellery. They charge £3.95 for standard (quite slow) UK delivery or £7.95 for delivery within 2 days.

Also more affordable than you may have thought, Miss Selfridge aim to offer feminine, flirty, fun and contemporary style for fashion aware women. They usually have sale lines at up to 70% off previous prices. Standard delivery is £4 to most of the UK or you can have it faster, normally next day, for an extra £1.

For catwalk style at surprisingly manageable prices, go to Quiz. No menswear here! Quiz is aimed at women, especially women between about 15 and 35 at heart. Quiz feature clothing, footwear and accessories including a small range of jewellery, bags and belts. Standard UK delivery is free if you spend over £40. For orders under £40 it is usually £2.95 but you can pay a bit more for a faster service. For exclusive fashion at a higher price, Tica offer clothing and swimwear, mostly for women, with delivery from £6 and Joules have colourful fashions for men, women and children, many with an outdoor, equestrian flavour. Delivery is from £3.95 or free if you spend at least £75.

For more traditional fashions and for ladies who prefer to be of a size that is not the average, Dorothy Perkins offers fashions for taller and petite women as well as sizes 8 - 22. You can shop at one of more than 580 stores nationwide, or online. Standard UK delivery is £3.95.

There is a whole shop full of sunglasses, belts and fashion jewellery at Not Designer. Their glasses are well made but a fraction of the price of designer and celebrity-endorsed originals. Although they are not copies they reflect current designer and fashion trends.
