There are quite a few company names involved in Computer sales, but not so many actual companies. For example Currys, Micro Warehouse, PC World and Dixons (yes, they do still exist online) are all part of the DSG Retail group. Laskys is part of Comet.
Although these companies are grouped, there are some differences. For instance, Comet have a broader range than Laskys, but if Laskys have got what you want it will probably be cheaper than at Comet. And everything from Laskys is delivered free. There are headline differences within the DSG group, but behind the major deals, a lot of the stock is similar.
Laptops Direct are usually quoted in specialist magazines as the preferred supplier if you are seeking current models, excellent range and value.
Comet, the DSG companies and Pixmania generally have a small selection of headline good deals, but less competitive prices for the balance of the range.
Dell make or source their own branded computers and accessories, so they have ranges that are not available elsewhere.
Savapoint is the bargain basement end of the market, but not the first place to look for current specification computers.
